Default My doubt,and myself (introducing)

Hello;
I'd like to know if is it necessary to desmount the two side towers of my router, in order to adapt it on a table?
As You can see, I'm very, very, beguineer in this matter, and so gratefull for any help.

Welcome Arthur. Can you tell us what model router you have. I am not understanding the "two side towers of my router" and what that is referring to. Hope you enjoy the site and glad to have you aboard!

I'm guessing here, but I think he's got a plunge router.. the "two side towers of my router" are refering to the slides on the router that have the springs in them.

Just a guess mind you, and I've been wrong before... just ask my wife.

You are probably right Brian and if that is the case Arthur you don't want to remove those as the router will be useless at that point. You can remove the springs to make it adjust up and down without fighting the springs but it will need to be dedicated to the router table.

I think you are talking about the spring towers that enclose the springs to help lift the router for you...

If so ,many do remove them if you are going to use the router in the table, But some routers work fine with them in place,,,,the big 3 1/4HP should be but then again if it's your only router and you want to take it out of the table and use it for a plunge router you should let them be..

Hello Brian and friends

Plunge router... those are the words missed.
Yes, like a Bosh POF 1100 AE.

Help; how to attach that to a table?
