Fed up with computers so trying a new hobby . Last did woodworking when I was 15 years old. Now pushing 72, I find things have changed a bit.

Welcome chocks! A lot of things certainly have changed. Some for the better and some not, but, the feel and beauty of the wood and the pride of accomplishment haven't.
Please feel free to post any questions or answers you may have. We are a friendly group of wood hackers here and enjoy getting and/or passing along any help we can.

We at the Router Forums welcome you chock. You are never to old to learn woodworking. We have a group of members here who can help you learn as I am doing. Welcome and enjoy. Most of all, work "SAFE".

A warm welcome to you young chocks. Whilst I have been cutting, nailing screwing and routing wood all of my adult life, I last used a wood lathe in 1947 and have recently purchased a small lathe and am picking up the courage to give it a twirl and I know that I'll receive all the help that I ask for on this wonderful forum. Harry, born 1933 in the UK and lived in West Australia since 1964.

Thanks harrysin,I was born 1936, served 2 decades in the RN, visited Aussi 3 times-Freemantle twice, emigrated on the Ellinis's final trip to Victoria. I only lasted two and a half years and came home to stay. Dont let the grass grow! chocks99
