Default Hello for BoxWerks in Sacramento

Hi, I run a home based wood shop in Sacramento (90% of a two car garage). Thankfully, I have an understanding and supportive wife. I've recently set up a business to design and build small artistic box projects. Most of my products are oriented to jewelry and small item storage. I have a fairly well equipped shop with a unisaw (with two Jess-em router lifts integrated), 8 foot cabinet makers bench (my construction), band saw, drill press, lathe, 6 " jointer, planer, hvlp sprayer, air compressor, and other sundry essentials. I also utilize the Incra Supersystem to achieve some really fun dovetail designs and am looking forward to gaining further competence in using this extremetly well designed tool to start designing some really unique box applications. Unfortunately, I had to give up my Biesemeyer fence to accommodate the Incra (which I would not recommend) rail system. The Biesemeyer is much more accurate for repeatability, despite the inconvenience of having to add and remove the Incra rig to the table top. Love to hear from any of you other "woodscrapers", especially if you also specialize in box building and/or using the Incra system.

You may want to check out a great place for boxes "oriented to jewelry and small item storage" Bruce has some neat boxes and most all of them you can download the plans for ,,,

I just picked up an incra ultra and love it. It would be great to see some of the stuff you've done.

Thanks!

My license plate says it all. I think....."Mak[e]D[u]st" My wife bought me a license plate frame that says "Old woodworkers never die, they just turn dust". The only problem is that the uninitiated aways ask me "Shouldn't that say "Turn to dust". I always smile and, as respectfully as I can, say,"If I have to explain it, you probably wouldn't understand". Love the smell of saw dust in the morning, boys!
