Default home made barley twist jig

Hi! wood guys.
Im 67 years old an Im the only "Smoke Artist" in the world. I've been a wood worker for 50 years.
Im looking for ideas on how to build a machine to make spiral
and fluted legs for furniture.

Hi Ed

You can find a plan or two on the fourm, BUT you would be best off to just buy a jig that will do it easy..
The indexing of the stock is the hard part of making one,,,not to say anything about setting up your lathe to take on the router...and keeping the flutes true.. the Craftsman jig with do it all for you and will save you tons of money and time...plus it will do 36" long legs
