Hey! I'm new to the forum - 60 yr. old woman - been playing around with wood for several yrs. Have my own tools (compound mitre saw, various sanders, Skillsaw, workbench, etc. Just purchased my first router and have taken a router class at a local Woodshop. Looking for a place to ask all manner of router related questions. Thanks for being here.

Hello Chris and welcome to the Router Forums. Always nice to have another female join our forum. We have a few ladies on this forum and are glad for them. This is a male dominated forum, but it is nice to get a female point of view also. So don't be shy, if you have questions, please feel free to ask no matter how silly you think they are. We are not here to judge. We are here to help and have some fun along the way. We have members of various skill levels, and all ages, and various occupations, and nationalities.

I must say I am surprised how many women have been joining our forum of late. It must be due to the new picture window which shows off all the bulging biceps.

Seriously, I am delighted to welcome you and look forward to seeing photo's of your projects. One of the great things about our forum is the variety of idea's and methods, and the willingness of members to share them. Enjoy!

Thanks guys and gals! Nice to see other ladies on the forum. I ended up ordering a new router plate from the parts department at Sears. I am anxiously awaiting it's arrival and the start of a project. Not sure just yet what that project will be - there are so many cool things to build. I'll be back when I am fully set up. Thanks for the kind words and encouragement.
