Cool Introduction

Hi to all, I am new to the forum and hope to find this a valuable resource. I started word working approximently 2 years ago and have not worked on too many projects. I originally started out wanting a hobby building boxes, I soon learned that you need more than just a saw and hammer. The other problem is time restraint, I never seem to have enough time to work on my projects.
2 Small kids at home, if you know what I mean?
I am still building my shop and now shopping for a Bandsaw, possibly 14" with riser, so if anyone has any good suggestion regarding which bandsaw to purchase, or not purchase drop me a line.

Welcome, Brownee! There are a lot of good band saws available. You might look at grizzly.com for a start.

Hi Brownee

Here's just some more you may want to look at..but if you want the Riser-Block you will need to stick with the Grizzly one..but if you can put the bucks out get the 17" one.. but don't waste your money on a bench top one.. blades are a big deal when it comes to a good band saw...

Thanks for the idea for Grizzley, however, they don't sell them in Canada. I would have one shipped but found out they don't ship to Canada, which means I have to go cross border shopping and pick one up. This may or may not be good ie paying duty depending where the Grizzley is made. If its made in the USA then I don't have to pay duty.
