| Registered User | Hi I was looking in to buying a router for my leigh jig so I don't have to take my big router outa my router table all the time and came across this forum. It looks like there is a lot of good info here, and nice people from the posts that i've read. I'm a tool and die maker by trade. So i'm looking for a very accurate router .I'm also a volunteer firefighter as you can see by my name.If you have any questions about tools, I'll try and help with 15 years of tool building experiance. |

| Retired Moderator Supreme Forum King | Welcome to the forums FF2. Have you decided on a router yet? Lots of good routers out there. Most are as accurate as any others. I am a dewalt fan myself and really a fan of the new craftsman routers. My son is a firefighter as well, soon to be city fire fighter. Corey

It's the best I've ever been on. "tool and die maker " Great! Although most (not all) of us work with wood and plastic most of the time, there's always an instance where we need to do something with metal. Aluminum is usually a first choice. If you ever have any thoughts about tools (cutters & such) that us woodworkers could benefit from please give us you're thoughts. We may never buy a Mill for our home shops but the ocassional use of an end mill would be a boon to jig making. Until then ENJOY! Jim |
