Talking Oh, this place is for WOODworkers.

Hey everybody,
I am Bryan Dix. I live in North Carolina. I love Porter Cable routers and sanders and Dewalt table saws and Bosch jigsaws and Dremels. And I have never even built one single project out of wood. That's because I got spoiled on working with Corian instead. That is where I developed all the skills that I have.

I stumbled upon this forum while doing some Google searching for something else and thought it looked like an interesting place to hang out some and pick the brains of some "actual woodworkers".

Hello.
Goodbye.

Welcome to the Router Forums Bryan. Glad you stumbled onto our forum. Sounds like you like Banjo's a lot. Do you play or build banjo's?

Hey Dr. Zook,
I just play the banjo right now but I can feel it rumbling inside me to build at least one banjo and 2 guitars before I begin my dirt nap. A friend of mine made an incredible electric guitar out of Corian and it sounded absolutely unbelieveable. I'm gonna have to " one up" his guitar.

Hmm. A Corian banjo. That would be special indeed.
Welcome to the forums.

I've heard of people making guitar nuts out of Corian, but never an entire guitar. Sounds cool, post some pics if you can!

A Corian guitar sounds pretty heavy to me, you must be one of those 6' 4" Yanks who wouldn't even notice it! Good look, I hope it comes to fruition.
