| Registered User | I'm new here and I'm planning to purchase a router in the very near future. My first project is going to be wood trim for my A/V system racks that I am currently building. I need a router that can handle both 1/4" and 1/2" shank bits. I am interested in expert reviews and/or opinions about different brands/models of routers to help me decide which one to purchase. |

A day or two of research will be worth yor while. You might consider a router table for your wood trim. Which ever way you go I'm sure you'll have fun. Jim |

| Senior Moderator Supreme Forum King | Routers are not a one size fits all situation. Everybody has their own best choice based on features and price. Most of the major brands offer similar options and pricing. You would expect a wide variety of names to be found from forum members and recommended for different reasons. This is exactly the case. One thing is surprising though: through the forums history almost all moderators and staff prefer and own Bosch.
