Wink Just waiting for my Home Depot retirement job....

Hello Folks!

Been lurking around for awhile and finally decided to create an account and start a postin'.

I'm from the 'Peg, home of the router guys.

I've been dabbling in woodworking since my eary university days. (20+ yrs ago) My faculty had a terrific industrial woodshop in the basement with an incredible master craftsman that inspired me. Still learning the craft today, always wishing I could spend more time honing my skills. As Rick keeps telling me - "gotta get the router out-of-the-box!".

Currently working in the IT industry and biding my time till I can work at Home Depot and get that employee discount!

Great job on the forum site Mark.
Love the Router Workshop table guys!

Welcome to the forums Hedger! Yeah that employee discount sounds nice. I thought about the same thing, working in Home Depot or Lowes part time just for the employee discount and extra cash of course. Later...

Welcome to the forums Hedger!

I best warn you HD does not give discounts..... they do have employee specials...... Had a son and daughter who worked there and thought I might be able to get some deals but nope.

Don't know about Lowes or Menards or ????

Anyway get the router out and start making things and then tell us about them or give us some hints from the master craftspersons.

Welcome Hedger. Always glad to hear from a new member. Did they warn you about having to sing the theme song at the next meeting?

Hey we had the party at my house when we hit the 2500 members......... I think it should be the new guy turn...........

Hey we could all meet at a home depot at 7:30 on Sat. night, I might be a little late but just wait for me, it's OK if you want to sing the song before I get there.

Are you sure you wanted to join this crazy forum?

Default Thanks for the greetings....

Thanks to all of you for making me welcomed here....

I'm a little sad to hear that HD doesn't have a "discount" for its workers; guess I'm going to have to look at the KFC delivery job now..... mmmmm fried chicken and hot wings.....

I was going to invite all of you to a party at my house last night, but the forum seemed to be offline, couldn't get the invites out to you.... sorry folks, y'all missed a heck of a party....
