| Registered User | I bought this router several years ago and only used it a couple of times. Can't locate the chuck key and can't find anyplace to replace it or to locate a clear sub-base. Does anyone know where I can find parts or should I just chalk this machine up as a mistake and start over? If I were to purchase a new machine, I am tending to Pat Warner's suggestion of the Dewalt 3 base 2 1/4 hp kit. Any comments? thanks, Andy |

As for the sub-base, you can make one fairly easy. Here's one example of a home-made version that one member made so his router would accept Porter Cable guide bushings. Router sub-base Brian

| Registered User Supreme Forum King | The "Pro" models use the 2 wrench system. 17mm and 24mm wrenchs. Sears should carry these. For the plate, Brian gave you the best solution, make your own. There are "universal" plates out there that you can purchase. Rocklers, Woodcraft and such should carry these.

| Retired Moderator Supreme Forum King | I have the DW618 combo and it's a nice router. For the money, check out the new Craftsman 2 base combo's. Great routers for nearly a 3rd of the price. Corey
