Default Hello from North East UK

Hi Everyone.
I'm Rob. i'm 46 and live in the north east UK.
i just found this site while browsing for router help and it looks like i might get all my questions answered here.

i have never used a router before and am a little daunted by all the do's and dont's but im gonna give it a go!

My "Project" is i am building a full size Dalek from the Dr Who series!

my questions (and there will be many...lol) will follow once i've had a good look around the site.

Rob

I fear that even the infamous Tom Baker couldn’t pull that one off with just a router...jelly baby anyone?

Welcome to the forum Rob. The router is my most used tool and it's incredible what can be achieved with one, however, for the project which you have in mind, I think that a router will perform a minor role. Harry ex-N.W .England (1964 Manchester)

Hi Harry
you're right in saying the router will only play a small part in my Dalek's construction, in fact it's only needed for cutting and champhering the neck rings and maybe one or two other little tasks, but it's something i've been putting off because its a new one on me. i'll get there though, i love a challenge!

i tried to add an external link to show the kind of thing i'll be doing, but it was rejected? are we not allowed external links?
