| Registered User New Member | Hello everyone: I am a new member and send greeetings from Pittsburgh, PA. I found Router Forums while looking for information about routers. After many years of waiting and wishing, I finally am putting together a modest workshop. One of the tools I want to add to my collection is a router. At least initially, I want to be able to make my own trim and moldings for small custom doors and frames. So I'm looking for a good middle of the road router. Since I work full time, I will be a weekend warrior at best and everything I make will be for me. There are an abundance of used routers available either on Craig's List or at a local second hand tool store so I can go that route too. Any suggestions? George |

| Retired Moderator Supreme Forum King | You know I don't know what your budget is but... I would stay away from the used or garage sale routers unless you get one that is basically new in box. You just don't know what you are going to run into. If you have a budget of 100.00 or so check out the new Craftsman 2 HP plunge/fixed base combo. Great routers at a great price. corey
