Report Post Report This Post!

Hello All and greetings from florida!
I am a local Florida signmaker and I have joined this forum to learn more of routing wood wooden or high density urethane foam signs for business signs residential signs or just wood signs and wood working in general. I would like to learn anything that could make building these signs more efficient such as routing or finishing techniques. I own a web based business dedicated to wood or hdu signs and you can visit it at signsalive I would especially like to learn about getting more color into my signs as this seems to be what people want these days. I also make edge lit signs and you can see examples of this type of work at signsalive Well i guess that is all i can think of for now as an introduction and I hope to learn more here soon.

Hi Folks,

I'm a new member here. I have recently developed the sign making bug.

I've made a couple dozen relief and engraved signs using both a plunge router and various engraving bits on a Roto Zip wand attachment.

So far I have been pretty successful with my designs. I'm using an older version of broderbund's Print Shop to develop my designs. However I am frustrated by the program's available sign shapes and frames.

I would appreciate any tips you folks might have on where I can find a clip art library of standard sign shapes that can be imported and resized into my layout program.

Many thanks in advance.
