Default Greetings from MN

I've been interested in woodworking for quite some time but only just now got into it myself. I have a collection of 30-year old power tools (a drill, a circular saw, and a table saw from JCPenney(!)), an $89 Ryobi router and a compound miter saw whose factory stops aren't quite square. Makes it hard to make face frames but I've learned how to deal with it. I started making a bathroom vanity because I thought I could save money over buying a nice new one from the store.
You can stop laughing now - I've since bought a new combo Bosch router, about 15 bits and other accessories...and I'm thinking of ways I can take over the basement from the rest of my family for my shop!
I look forward to the support of fellow woodworking enthusiasts - my husband just doesn't understand this obsession.

Hi and welcome aboard from another mostly MN'er

One thing you'll find is seldom does the significant other "get" what we do.
So they aren't hip - what can ya say! lol

Where in Minnesota?

I am in Minnesota and we have roads that are just about impassable where I live.

Welcome to the Router Forums Karen. Glad to have another lady join us. Especially one with your enthusiasm. Go for the basement and hold your ground.

Hi Steve,
I'm from the Twin Cities area - Maple Grove. Heard there were a few feet dumped on central and northern MN yesterday. That's the good thing about April - it'll be gone soon! We got almost a foot last week and there's nothing left - I even saw some open water on a couple of lakes on my drive home today!
