| Registered User New Member | Hi, My name is Brian. I'm originally from Haifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, now living in Gibsons BC since 1996. I went into a carpentry course 1n 1972, gaining my Inter Provincial(BC) ticket in 1976. I never really enjoyed many aspects of rough carpentry, leaning more to finish/cabinet-making. However, after having a motor vehicle accident in 1980(severely breaking both wrists), I turned to photography, enjoying that tremendously, until the advent of computers, selling off my photo gear, carpentry tools to buy a computer system. Just lately, I got the urge to get back into cabinet making, not in a big way but I'm in the process of making a kitchen island because I have a small kitchen and very limited space to store all my cookware, another hobby I enjoy. I went out and bought a table saw, 2 1/4 hp router, router table and accessories. I haven't totally forgotten how to use the equipment, but I'm in need of tips/tricks, jig making, etc. My favourite show on PBS is The Router Workshop and I hope it comes back to our viewing area soon, and hope it remains after the network goes digital. Hoping to gain a lot of knowledge in this forum. Brian |

| Registered User Forum King | Welcome Brian I now live in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia (since 1965) originally from Hamilton Ont. I enjoy wood working as a hobby, like yourself. I have found this to be a very friendly and knowledgable forum, with someone willing to offer advice or an opinion, a great place to hang the hat. Have a great wood working day! John
