Default counter top sink hole

Hello to everyone on router forum.
I looking for suggestions on how to fill in a sink hole in a cabinet countertop using a router setup. I would like to get a nice tight fit much as you would with an inlay bit set. Any suggestions anyone?

Hi cabinet guy

I take it that the counter top is screwed in place,, you will need to make a template using the sink hole for the pattern,,, clamp/screw some 1/4" MDF stock under the couter top then take a 1/4" plunge bit and using the chart below backwards... putting the brass guide on the router,,, once you have the template cut out then using some double sided carpet tape stick it to the stock you want to use for the sink insert and chuck up a bit on the router table and copy the pattern, you will need to switch the brass guide to get to come out just right..see chart...template is on the bottom side of the stock ...when you make the sink insert..

Hey Bobj3

thanks! That's just what I was looking for. It's a job that has been put on the back burner for now due to other commitments..
