Default Porter router 7518 problems (URGENT!!!!!!)

Hello,

My name is Marc Brunet Gagne, and I'm working for S2K Identity Signs in Mexico City. We have a multicam router:

Model Porter 7518, Variable speed production router
Motor : 75182
120 V AC 15 amp
Type 1
Ser. no. : 999039

I use the software Motion Mechanic(multicam software) to make the link between the computer and the router.
I use the software EnRoute to make my pieces.
We are using the router on a router table.

We have severals problems:

1- The "Z" is not stable, sometimes it is going little bit upper, and sometimes it is going little bit down.

2- We ajusted the "X" and "Y" in the router program to be very precise and the day after, we have an error of at least 1/16" in each side undependently of the size of the piece we need to cut.

3- Sometimes, the machine is getting crazy, it is not able to recover the home machine, it is just staying in place and not moving.

I need an answer as soon as possible because our production is stop now because of those problems

Thank you

Best Regards

Marc Brunet Gagne

Marc, the problems you are describing have nothing to do with the router motor. The motor will either run or not. Your problems are with several other things. The first step is to clean the entire work area being sure their is no debris in the servo motors which can cause bad readings. Check to be sure all mounting hardware on the servo motors and router is tight. These are the most common causes of failures. Next check the wiring connections to see if their is any damage or loose connectors. Beyond this you may have problems with either your programing or a controller part is failing.
