The truth is that I love tools generally and that routers have become a fascination for the last 5 or 6 years. Certainly some reasons/excuses/rationales is that they are incredibly versatile and given to many clever uses. One of the most attractive things of me is that they are relatively small and easy to hide. This is important since my wonderful red-headed SO would never understand why I have ~16 routers. It is not that I need them as much as I love ‘me. Another justification for buying them (and other toys!) is that I got such a great bargain that resistance was futile.

Being on the far side of 60 and struggling with the proposition that aging jocks have body parts that wear out, I hate the idea that I will never be able to physically do all of the things with my toys that I have done in my head.

Am I still allowed as a member?

I don't know Dave? You might be over qualified because of the number of routers you have. NOT, just kidding. You have a long way to go to catch up with Bj. Welcome to the forums anyway. Glad to have you join our community. And with a name like Dave you can't be all bad.

"Dave the Doctor"! Some of my old friends call me "Doctor Dave" -- they are the ones who are too impressed with formal education!

Dave, Welcome. You will find that a camera is almost as important here. Show us something about your shop and all of those routers. -Derek

TWITA

Heck, I used to sleep with my plunge router next to the bed and carried a picture of my router in my wallet. until wife then girlfriend started thinking there was something wrong with me.
At the end she did marry me on the condition that I would just leave it on the dresser.

Hi Dave. I guess having 16 or so routers is bad for your posture. Try not using them all at the same time Welcome to the forum mate.
