| Registered User | I am a relatively new wood worker and decided I needed a router table. I have a Jet Xacta-Lift (by JessEm) mounted on a @2-1/2" thick table top that sits on a cabinet. I bought a Hitachi M12vc 2-1/4 HP Router. I think everything is installed correctly & the lift works fine but it does not lift high enough for the bit to clear the table top(the lift is mortised into a 1" MDF board which is attached to a 1-1/2" plywood surround). I also cannot figure how to change bits without cutting a hole in the back of my cabinet to get at the router. Can someone give me some pointers in non-technical terms. Want to learn. |

| Forum Contributer Supreme Forum King | Hi dforrest You will need to mount the router to a base plate,,,then you use the lift and change the bits from the top side of the router table top..or just pop out the router and set it on the top and switch out the bits..or set the height of the bits.. see links below http://wealdentool.com/acatalog/tips_20.html http://wealdentool.com/acatalog/tips_18.html =========== Quote:
