| Registered User | I've used the 4200 series PC dovetail jig and just yesterday bought the 24" Omnijig. I've puzzled over the manual and video and I am still left with one (no doubt silly) question unanswered. If someone would tell me how to use the right side stop for cutting, say, through dove tails, I'd appreciate it. To flesh out better the question: say I have an 8" wide board and that I set up variable spaced tails/pins on the left side. Of course, I use the stop on the left to position my board properly. To cut the other corner I would (as in the 4200) use the right side of the jig, after properly setting the right hand stop. Given that the fingers are on the 8" on the left side, I imagine that I should figure out how to move, without error, the fingers to the right side. I thought that of swapping the template assembly end for end, but this looks to me not to work with the stops that set the position of the template. Another approach that comes to mind is to set up another set fingers on the right side, with spacing as closely matched as I can make to the left side. Thanks in advance for your comments. |
