| Registered User | I'm Ivan, Currently I'm involved in a total house renovation and am putting the finishing touches to a router table in preparations for cabinet building. I have a second hand Incra Incremental Positioning Jig which I'm in the process of installing and I'm wondering if there is any consensus on what the best height above the table is on the fence for mounting a T-track to use for stop blocks, etc.? I downloaded a owner's manual for it and they seem to omit that piece of information in favor of getting you to buy their fence system for the jig. I'm currently toying with the idea of 1½". My finished fence will resemble the NYW fence withe a T-track set higher up for feather boards, etc. |

| Senior Moderator Supreme Forum King | First off, there is no right or wrong way to go about this. Most of the fences I have seen mount the track 3-4" above the table. Depending on if you are using store bought hold downs, guards, etc you need to examine them. I am sure 1-1/2" is too low for most of them.
