Default Freud FT200E

My 10 year old router has an electrical fault in that it is working intermittently. Where is the best place to buy spares?

Hi Roger,

A couple of things....If you put where you're from in your profile, people will better be able to answer your question of where....and the RIGHT people will answer the question...

Thanks,

Ed......:-)

Hi morwenstow

"intermittently" is not the norm for most routers , you may want to do some clean up and replace the brushes ,they do fill up with saw dust over time, most are not made to work upside down..

Hi and welcome to the forums.

You may also want to check your cord, especially if you store it with the cord wraped around it. After that many years I would do as Bj suggested as well check the cord, I had an old skill saw that did that and a new cord solved it.

Roger,

In the US you can call our Parts and Repair department at (800) 334-4107. Let me know if you need contact info for another country.

Thanks for the help. The problem was a faulty speed control module which I have replaced.

Charles,

I have sent 2 emails to Freud UK a week ago and have not yet had a response. If you have a UK telephone number that would help.

Thanks

Roger
