I am glad I am joining the forum. I can share some of my limited knowledge but I also can really use your help. My dad, who died 20 years ago, gave me his router table and I have been using it ever since. However the miter slot in this old steel Sears craftsman router table is only 1/4" deep. I use that that miter slot for my featherboards but they are really shaky in it because of the depth. I am attached to the table and ideally do not want to buy another table top. Has anybody ever run into this problem before.

Hi and welcome to the forums.

The funny thing about craftsman is, with their T-slots or miter slots. They have their own size. You may want to measure the slots and find some new "T" bolts.

HI klawler7

I'm a make your own type of guy ( woodworker) I had the same type of error with a slot in my old table saw ,, I could not get it to hold anything very well until I made my own holder....I'm sure it will hold your feather boards very well..see small drawing...
