| Jigs and Fixtures This area will be directed towards the art of designing specific jigs and fixtures. Bob and Rick say, "if the specific operation is to make more than one piece the same size and shape then chances are you need a jig and/or fixtures." |

| Registered User New Member | Recently, I had my PC upgraded (meaning all my woodworking links were erased). One link I had was a video of a router table jig to cut needle pins for dovetail joints. I recall that the jig was some type of sled with a backing set at an angle & using a straight bit. There were a few more details but if this sound fimiliar to anyone - please post the link! I recall that the site had a few more useful tips & tricks. |

| Forum Contributer Supreme Forum King | Hi FlyMaster The only one that comes to mind is the one below. http://us.oak-park.com/catalogue.html?list=RTS-MGS- ========= http://us.oak-park.com/catalogue.html?list=RTS-LDS- ========== I'm not sure what needle pins are but the jig will let you put in many types of dovetail joints,,angle one for just one of them ,but you will need to use a dovetail bit... You can make your own sled and using a brass guide in the router table on a 45 deg angel jig that slides over the router bit.. hope this helps ===== Quote:

| Registered User Forum Geek | Is it http://www.woodworkersedge.com/DovetailRouterJig.htm I am pretty intrigued by this jig. I wonder if a jig saw (Triton, Bosch) could then cut the tail boards. Steve Bolton |
