| Registered User New Member | Hi i'm new to the fourms i don't knpw if this has already been asked, but i'm having some problems with my router. For some reason the other day i couldn't access the internet on the client computer, even though it sent packets (recived some but stopped after a while) and said it was connected with a good signal. I restarted and returned to factory settings the route, but alas it didn't work. I then checked my router log and found this.. 03.08.2005 00:51:41 **SYN Flood Stop** (from ATM1 Outbound) I dunno what this means but could it be stopping me from accessing the internet on the client computer? I'm using a Belkin wireless router with a D-Link wireless card in the computer, it was working perfectly upto a few days ago, and still works on the host computer, can anyone help? I can give futher infomation if needed. |

| Registered User Forum Fanatic | You are on a WOODWORKING site that discusses routers (woodworking power tool), not a networking router. Bill |

| Forum Administrator Supreme Forum King | It appears that you have the wrong type of Router. We're talking about Woodworking and the tool, "Router". As far as your problem, a SYN Flood is when your SYN queue is flooded which will prevent any new connections. Which most definatly is the source of your problem. My suggestion to you would be to get a Firewall to block the flood.
