Default PBSYOU: Pulling the Plug on Dish Network

What will happen to “The Router Workshop”?

I noticed that PBSYOU would be ending its service on Dish Network as of January 25th. So what will happen to the Rick & Bob show? I’ve done some searching on PBS and don’t see any listing for the show.

Do any of you know of any other PSB channel on Dish Network that plain on showing The Router Workshop in the New England area?

Bob & Rick please help us . . .

Thanks Brian

PBS isn't the only one who has or is pulling out of dishnetwork. It seems that dischnetwork has increased it rates for such channels. In the long run, passing the buck onto us the viewers. A few stations/channels have choosen to end their services with dishnetwork. However there is still good news though, you may still be able to find it through your local tv station. Check out the web site. www.pbs.org/pbsyou

Just checked my local pbs stations... none carry the show.

The same is true at Directv. But they put it up last month that it would be gone in December. It is still there! Send no money to your local PBS station, or better yet tell them why you can no longer support the local station. I sent a letter to "Blinky" ( that's what I call him, when he was just an announcer), The WVIA leader.

What irks me Trap is that 44 wvia doesn't have it in their programming but have it on a pay station pbsyou that is a sponsored 44 station. Oh well they won't get my membership this year. They are really lacking with the wood programs they had the Wood Wright shop and they took that away now only Norm's Yankee work shop and this old house. Won't be long for them to go to.

Is there a way to buy the Router Workshop episodes on DVD or something? I only recently "found" Router Workshop and I have, of course, missed a lot. Would be neat to have a whole season or a big group of episodes on DVD.

If I remember correctly (haven't had dish net for a long time). In the higher channels Router Workshop was aired by some university in the education channels. In the late afternoon on Saturdays.

I'm on Dishnetwork in the Chicago area and so far nothing's been said about pulling it - it still airs on WYCC, a local PBS station.
