Default What a night!

Whew! I never experienced anything like I did last night. I'm pretty sure many of you heard of the tornadoes last night here in Iowa City. My God, how that wind was blowing. It hit the Coralville, Iowa City area. I saw so much devastion. Brand new cars at the car dealer place flipped over , Dairy Queen completely stripped, Menards roof collapsed. I never seen anything like that in person. Just on tv. We all took cover immediately as soon as the alarms went off, wind was blowing and the hail started coming down. It was just incredible! Just total devastion!

Hopefully you and yours got through it OK?
We have relations near there and they said it was pretty tense - they spent several hours in the basement laundry room facility but all was OK for them.

Tornado's are always amazing things of destruction. I've seen their rath first hand several times.
Glad you are safe. Property damage is easily replaced, lives aren't.

Ditto from me Sam. Even Ohio isn't exempt from those twisters. One small one went close to my house but did no damage but a 1/4 mile down the road, it took a mans barn down. We also had one 30+ miles east that leveled a huge part of Xenia. All you could see was foundations and scattered lumber.

Wow, those tornados are just too powerful! It's just incredible how a five foot wide tree can be uprooted like nothing. Mike, there are some area's in New York and New Jersey that looks like that too. Anyway, take care folks. Later...
