| Registered User Forum King | Just got six stitches right above my right eyes. No eye protection. I never learn, Truly a miracle. Half inch lower and I’d be wearing an eye patch for life. Now there will be a scar. : ( Just when you think it’s impossible for an accident to happen, it will happen no matter how careful you are. And if anyone here has a moment of stupidity like I often do and not wear eye protection just remember this. Work safe!!! |

| Senior Moderator Supreme Forum King | I have a mangled push stick that I keep as a reminder of what can happen. I was trimming some boards to width and I have no idea how my foot slipped. The next thing I knew I was holding a plastic push stick with the end chewed to splinters. Better that cheap push stick than my hand! ALWAYS think safety first! Keep your safety glasses by the light switch for your shop and put them on every time you enter. It's a habit you will be happy to live with.
