I am faced with a real dilema here. Voting for "Making an outstanding contribution to the forum" and limiting it to one individual is just not possible. Ed certainly earned the title before his PMS fit and withdrawal from the forum. Dave has been the welcome wagon for so many, his humor adding a bit of spice to life. Tom qualifies in spades for sharing his insights into the use of templates and guide bushings. His efforts at teaching the blind to safely use routers; his current project of developing teaching materials to share his knowledge with others should guarantee him a title. BJ is quick to respond to questions, he is open to new ideas, and he always makes interesting reading. He goes out of his way to find information for members, and that is a real contribution.
In light of all this I vote for no ONE. Instead I propose that recognition is due to Dave, Tom and BJ. At such time as his return, also to Ed. That is my vote and if members agree then let it be so. Future awards may be made as warranted.

A most appropriate post and one I would go along with in a heartbeat, with the addition of one more name to the list....... YOURS

You have been a most valuable contributor to this forum since the day I joined and have helped many including myself.

I would like to cast my vote for Visteonguy, although most everyone here has helped me in some way.. His signs and tips on how he makes them have been a big help for me..

Mike, what you said is very true, I agree when you say that they all deserve the rank. But, I wanted this to be given to the best of the best, decided by the forum users. Yes, they all may contribute an equal amount, but, one has to be selected and I'm letting everyone pick that one.

This same voting and nomination process will be held again sometime in the future. Before it is held, other members may want to contribute a lot to the forums and become one of the outstanding members who provide a lot of assistance. I'm hoping over each nomination thread we hold, there will be many different outstanding members, because that would tell me that everyone is constantly contributing in one way or another.

Do we have enough nominations to hold a poll?

Did everyone post their nomination? If not, get posting your nominations!
