| Senior Moderator Supreme Forum King | One of the best things you can do to help your woodworking skills advance is join a local woodworking group. There will be all levels of skill, people learning from each other. There are nice bonus features if you join a really active group. Here is a prime example: The South East Michigan Woodworkers had a swap meet today. Members chipped in and bought a large order of wood and got a great price per board foot. They also brought items to swap or sell. Everybody enjoyed the day.

| Registered User Forum Fanatic | I agree with Mike 100%. It may take some research in your own area for what is active. Groups like that are a wealth of information and skill levels, and would be a lot of fun. Friends with a common interest. You may even consider starting one of your own. You may have a free column in your local newspaper for "Announcements" or "Gatherings", or "Meetings". You'll be surprised what may come out of the woodwork. |

| Registered User Forum Fanatic | Mike: Are there any groups you know of in the Taylor, MI area? We've spoken over the phone quite a while ago, but I find it difficult to find time to get to your area, due to working hours. |
