Default LG cell phone needed

I'm in need of an LG 1150 cell phone, or a fully charged battery for same. Either buy, or borrow for a short period. My Mom has this phone, and the place on the phone that the charger plugs into has gotten dammaged and she can't charge her phone any more. I need to get some pictures of the grandkids off it before she gets a new phone.

Any help would be appreciated.

Brian

Maybe someone at a local cellular store could set you up. Radio Shack, or a one of the cellular stores that stocks a bunch of different carriers may have what you need.

I don't know if that particular phone has a micro SD card or something in it, or if it just stores in memory.

Best of luck- pictures are priceless

Brian, I have a trans-flash adaptor and can recover the files if stored on the flash memory. If the phone has a USB port I can read from that as well. You should be able to borrow a battery at a cellular store that repairs phones to allow you to send the photos if stored in the phone and not on the memory card.

I've tried all, well, most, of the local outlets and all I get is a "Sorry, we can't help you" from them. Not surprising really, no money in it for them. It does have a "simms" card in it, but that just stores the phone account info and the phone numbers. Pics are stored in the phone. Haven't tried Radio Shack(now The Source here in Canada) but a good tip, thanks. I keep forgetting they sell phones too.

Mike:Only one port, and that is the one the charger plugs into and is trashed. Thanks anyway.

If the voltage is the same I have extra batteries for my phones. We can most likely work something out. If not, I know a store that can help you. You can visit them Saturday. 15 Mile and Livernois in Troy.

I work for at&t Mobility and that was a model that we used to support. I know that Roger's supports similar devices because the 2 GSM networks use the same technology. I checked Google and there are tons of ads for that model. I also know that a mall kiosk might do the trick. -Derek

Yes, it is on Rogers network. My wife works with 3 people who have LG phones so she is, hopefully, going to be able to charge my Mom's batter in one of them. Will know tomorrow. Thanks for the tip on the mall, forgot about them too...
