I think - we think - alike!!
Government has no business in my business. I won't say much as I could get wound up real tight. The best dog I ever had was a pure mutt, funny looking but smart as all get out.
When I cornfigure just where, I will post photos of my shop. Soon I hope.
Take care
Doyle

As for government bans. I'm not a big fan of government telling me what kind of dog I can have as a pet. I would come closer to supporting stronger leash laws -- stronger penalties for animal cruelty -- and owners being held more liable if their animal DOES get loose and injure someone.
But -- that's just me.
I agree with you 111%

There should be laws that would really sock it to the owners of killer dogs to the point they better know what they're doing to take the 'chance' on owning them. I mean man slaughter type penalties, etc. (if something should happen)

Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, etc... Maybe Dobermans too... for starters.

DC - I have to agree with you on this one. Dealing with animals for over 21 years - I saw all kinds and pit bulls but they are not the only aggressive dog out there. I found in over 75% of the cases (pit bulls or other breeds) that it was the owner that caused the problem. Sometimes I felt that the owner should be shot....not the dog. In order to have a good dog law you have to have a aggressive prosecutor - jail time and a big fine is the best wake up call for any person - having a vicious dog and knowing it.
The city here passed an ordnance that banns pit bulls. The law was grandfathered though. Owners that had pit bulls were able to keep them.....but no new ones allowed. I have seen many pit bulls that were as good as any dog around.........again......an aggressive owner makes an aggressive dog....and there are some people that should not be allowed to own dogs.......or for that matter have kids........but that is another story.....

Julie, The answer to your question is in the photo of Bull, he looks like a pit bull. My wife picked him up and brought him over to me while I wasn't looking and he attacked... my face is still soggy from all the puppy kisses! He is a loving little guy and he is a treat to watch playing with his big brother Harry who is double his weight. As soon as the rain quits I will have them outside for more photos.

I'm surprised that no one has queried the name Harry, I believe that he is good looking, has a loveable nature and is incredibly intelligent.

Actually Joe, my wife had picked up her favorite pup and said: "What a handsome little man you are!" and I replied: "Gee, his name must be Harry." After a good laugh we decided his name would be Sir Harry of Rockingham. Harry wasn't too sure how to take it at first when I told him we had named a pup after him. I explained that Harry was a little guy and had a great personality.

By the way Harry, Sir Harry has some other attributes: he has short legs and neck, is thick around the middle and has ears that remind you of "The Flying Nun."

No Bull ?

Then, I guess it's fair to say that Harry is part BULL!

It's going to be interesting to see how the lil pup looks when it grows up a tad... and how he compares to his namesake...

Good thing the little yapper didn't have different parents...

Seriously, I've seen Mike's dog, and it is everything he says it is.
