Default Dust collection system for Router Table

I have built a router table on a frame of an old workbench. I am very concerned about dust and health related issues as I work in the garage to which the rest of my family has access.
1. What would be a sufficient dust collection system for a router?(capacity, cyclone vs. bag system.)
2. Where should I position the hose for the dust collection system for the most effective results and why?. (i.e - above or below the table, etc.)

The way that I seen Bob and Rick's on the Router work shop it is mounted on the bottom I have a grizzly router table it has the dust collector mounted in the back of the fence and hooked up onto a shopvac. I'm going to build my own table this summer and I think I'm going with Bob and Rick's idea because it just seems to keep a cleaner table for the cutting and work space on the table. I'm going to mount a vaccum scoop big enough and just hook a hose to it that should be enough.

Hi vhadar,

For some more "dust collector" posts use the Search function on the horizonal line with User CP at the far left.....

Lots of good ideas here so search around using related words like shopvac, vaccum etc.

Since I see this is your first post let me say welcome to the forum and thanks for posting.
