Sometimes things just work out right! I just walked into my local Lowes to get some door hinges. Right as the guy was pulling the "sale" cart upto the door.
Usually these racks have rubbish on them, but for once I was in the right place at the right time.
I just picked up a Freud FT1700VCEK "old stock,battered box" complete in it's un-opened plastic case for $75! they had three of them, I was so tempted to buy all three. They also had one with no plastic case but with all the parts in a poly bag for $50, was missing a few bits though I think.
Almost bought a Bosch belt sander as well, but restrained myself,lol
So now I have the freud for the table and the Hitachi for the hand work.
Happy birthday to me

Hi nzgeordie

Had to look that one up..

1. an aptitude for making desirable discoveries by accident.
2. good fortune; luck: the serendipity of getting the first job she applied for
======== or ======
1. The faculty of making fortunate discoveries by accident.
2. The fact or occurrence of such discoveries.
3. An instance of making such a discovery.

==========

I would call that GREAT luck, and as soon as I paid for the new routers I would pickup a Lotto ticket, Power Ball for sure...then go back and pickup the rest of the routers.. LOL LOL you can't have to many routers you can always make a neat lamp out of one of them..when they get full of saw dust.

===========

2 1/2 hp fixed based with what looks like an above table height adjuster
I'm not familiar with their routers either but it did seem a good buy.
