| Registered User Forum King | Last Monday (Oct.22) was Labour Day here in Godzone. Every year over that weekend, our local tavern sponsors a pig hunt in the local bush. Thought you guys might like to see some of the trophies brought in. The winner was 158 kgs (348 lbs). ![]()

| Registered User Forum King | Sorry Guys, that's not me in the pic - not even the one wearing the hat My son got the blonde one you see hanging in the first pic. He said he knew it was a real blonde as it ran towards him instead of away FYI they're hunted with dogs and then "stuck" (not shot). The meat gets shared around families and friends. It's quite a dark, strong flavoured meat - not pale like domestic pork.

| Registered User Forum Fanatic | Tasty! Wild pig tastes completely different than farm raised. My mouth is watering just thinking about one of those hogs cooking in a pit on a long Sunday afternoon. MMMmmmmm!!!
