Default Dewalt 3 base router rebate

Many people who purchased the Dewalt 3 base router from Home Depot
and sent in the required forms for the $40 rebate are now being informed by post card that 'Home Depot was not a participating retailer'.
Nowhere in any of the material related to the rebate, including the fine print, is Home Depot, or for that matter, any other store, excluded from this promotion.
It seems as if Dewalt is tryinig to weasel out of paying the $40 rebate.

If you are a victim of this 'scam', I urge you to call Dewalt at 866 444 5290 and protest this. If enough people call, they may find it easier to pay the rebate than to try to justify this phony claim that Home Depot didn't qualify.

Dewalt has seen the error of their ways and is giving the rebate for a HD purchase of the 3 base router. If you got a postcard saying HD was not a participant in the rebate process, call 866 444 5290 and they will straighten it out for you.
