Lobby The place to chat about whatever suits your fancy. This could be the electric dog polisher you just bought, the weather, anything goes (within the limits of good taste).

Default DC Question

OK so I'm not the brightest light in the room, or the sharpest knife in the drawer. When I read the answers to my initial question I realized my error. I just didn't write the question to what I was thinking.

I just purchased the Down Drafter for my Miter Saw. It has a 4" dust port. I was going to put an adapter that would reduce the 4" to a 2 1/2" and use a shop vac rather than use my 1 1/2 hp Jet DC that I have dedicated to my Dewalt Planer.

I hooked up the Down Drafter both ways. Had I done so prior to asking my question I would never have asked it. Obviously the 4" hose was superior to the 2 1/2"

I guess the difference to a dumb question vrs an intelligent question is the degree of embarrassment that the latter will give you.

I believe "never a dumb question" but you can sure get "dumb answers".
Have a great day!

Start with putting as much info as you can on your profile. Then people will now where to find more info on you.
