| Registered User Sr. Member | OK so I'm not the brightest light in the room, or the sharpest knife in the drawer. When I read the answers to my initial question I realized my error. I just didn't write the question to what I was thinking. I just purchased the Down Drafter for my Miter Saw. It has a 4" dust port. I was going to put an adapter that would reduce the 4" to a 2 1/2" and use a shop vac rather than use my 1 1/2 hp Jet DC that I have dedicated to my Dewalt Planer. I hooked up the Down Drafter both ways. Had I done so prior to asking my question I would never have asked it. Obviously the 4" hose was superior to the 2 1/2" I guess the difference to a dumb question vrs an intelligent question is the degree of embarrassment that the latter will give you. Angus |
