Default A Big Thank You From Harry

A big thank you from Harry

Whilst still not over Shingles in this the start of the eleventh week, I am feeling a lot better and think it’s time to return to the forum at least on a part time basis but first of all Marlene and I must send our heart felt thanks to all members who sent me their best wishes and prayers for a speedy recovery, by email, by snail mail and via the forum passed to my wonderful wife Marlene by my dear friend Glenmore who, during this whole period has kept in almost daily contact via Skype. During the past few weeks several other members have made regular contact with me via Skype, and one, who is a doctor, assured me that drinking a pint of Cayenne pepper would cure me, with the pain I was having at the time, I forgot that he wasn’t a Dr. of medicine and made a note so that I wouldn’t forget to buy some, fortunately before we ended the conversation I smelled a rat and asked if he was kidding me and his laughing gave me the answer. I have even received several messages from an ex member of the forum who seldom saw eye to eye with me and I know that he was sincere.
All of the above mentioned have helped to keep me sane, normally I find it difficult to sit around doing nothing, and having to do just that for so long would have meant large doses of tranquilizers without your support. I hadn’t meant to return for another couple of weeks but I have been snooping around the forum as a non member but found it difficult to search out past posts and make remarks so I have a confession to make, I invented a member called Electron to enable me to do these things. I hope that nobody will think that I set about trying to make a fool of anyone, my intensions were honourable. The very first day I received an email from Glenmore saying “Aha caught you Electron. Can't fool me hahahaha.”

So I thought that everyone would see through the subterfuge. What really decided that NOW was the time to return was when I found Corey’s thread with a terrific photo-shoot showing how he carved that gorgeous little man (I haven’t decided if it was meant to be me) and the photo-shoot was dedicated to me, as was the one by Axelmike (Mike) showing how he made that superb tool chest and the decider was when this very day I saw the first photo-shoot from my dear friend Glenmore showing how he makes pens sat down. He has in fact gone a stage further than most of us by having someone else take the shots, and what great shots they are, his son should follow a career in photography.
Well my friends, I doubt that I’ll be making sawdust for a while yet but just before I was stricken with the Shingles, I completed a couple of little projects which I’ll show under Wood Turning and Lathes.

Hi Harry

I'm glad you are up and around again..

It was funny when " Electron " posted the item about the Nakita router, I said you and Harry will get along just fine but I didn't post it, But it did sound like you and Electron may be good mates....by the tone of the posted items by Electron...but I just put it off to one side because I said they must all be like that down under...

Well I guess it's time to poke some fun at you I miss that you old fart.

I know you are in to gardening like I am,,, below you will see some tomato plants hanging upside down I saw them on TV and I thought about you and I said I got to try that...It must be the way they down under,,, AU..

It's only been about a week or so I will update this post in about 60 days and tell you how many tomatos we get from the two plants...

In one of the snapshots , something that's real hard to see in the background, lets see if you can find the hidden item...

Welcome back Harry

I must apologize for not sending you an email or pm. I figured there would be several members here flooding you with such and thought it best to just let you get some rest.

It wasn't a pint Harry, you're not back in the UK, it was a quart. And welcome back.
