| Registered User Supreme Forum King | An email from Ireland to all of their brethren in the States...a point to ponder despite your political affiliation: 'We, in Ireland , can't figure out why you people are even bothering to hold an election in the United States On one side, you had a pants wearing female lawyer, married to another lawyer who can't seem to keep his pants on, who just lost a long and heated primary against a lawyer, who goes to the wrong church, who is married to yet another lawyer, who doesn't even like the country her husband wants to run ! Now...On the other side, you have a nice old war hero whose name starts with the appropriate 'Mc' terminology, married to a good looking younger woman who owns a beer distributorship !! What in God's name are ya lads thinkin over in the colonies

| Registered User Forum Fanatic | I, of long Irish ancestry, traced by my geneologist sister and niece, to Ireland in the 1600's, am not going to touch this one. Yes, I know my surname is French Hueguenot, but my paternal grandmother had the same surname as my Irish ancestors, and my maternal grandmother had an Irish surname, before marrying my grandfather who had a Scottish surname.

| Registered User Forum Geek | I also have roots from Ireland. We came here in 1830's... and I also have to aggree with the prevailing logic showing here.. and now,, Mc Cain goes and picks a former beauty queen, runner up,, who is not afraid of wearing a skirt,, for his Vice President choice. Now I got to ask ya,, how can it get better then that ? I have no idea why the rock star keeps wanting to spend all that money and waist all our time draging this thing out farther,, should just toss his play book in the fire and go home,,, let em get on with the bussiness of running the country.
