  About Me

  • My Shop
Some detailed information about my workshop.
    Power Tools
Delta: unisaw,36" lathe, and 16" drillpress. Decent Taiwanese brands of 18" bandsaw and 8x72 jointer. King 6x108 vertical belt sander, 16" thickness planer, and 2 HP dust collection. An old Rockwell Beaver 10" table saw with Mule brand sliding table and saw fence. I also put a Mule rail on my bandsaw saw that I could switch the sawfence to it. Numerous power hand tools. My favorite brands are PC and DW although I have a lot of Mastercraft from Canadian Tire for tools that I only use occasionally.
    My Shop
The heated part of my shop is 28' x 35' with a radiant tube heater for heat.
  • Woodworker Information
    A few details about myself.
    Biography
Mostly amateur woodworker for 35-40 years with a stint in a fireplace mantel factory and another in a cabinet factory building European style melamine cabinets. I was a logger in BC for 25 years and I have projects that started out as trees that I logged.
    Location
    Cherryville, BC, Canada)
    Interests
I do general woodworking, small to large projects. I don't do intarsia, scrollwork, inlays, woodcarving, etc. I like 3-D archery, shooting wooden bows and arrows.
    Favorite Router
    Hitachi, DeWalt, PC
    Woodworking Experience (Years)
    35-40
    First Name
    Charles
    Country
    Canada
  • Signature
Someone I consider a master woodworker once told me that a master woodworker is not someone who never makes mistakes. He is someone who is able to cover them up so that no one can tell.
