Thanks Bob. What speed would you recommend under the conditions described in my first post? As a router neophyte I'm open to all the tips and suggestions I can get.

Understand the "Fri. at 5:00 bits". Good description. Do you find MLCS and Grizzley bits acceptable? I'm gradually adding to my inventory.

Speed,,, I use about 12,000 rpm or less the norm,, you need to think about how fast that it..
" MLCS and Grizzley bits acceptable " = Yes, they have two grades most are fine for most jobs but if I/you have a hard job I do use the higher end ones from MLCS and Grizzly.
