ok i watched the video about installing an insert in the table top and I'm wondering what kind of straight bit he is using ? plunge, non plunge 1/4 or 1/2 shank ive tried with my regular 1/4 shank straight bit and its not working to well, I'm also having a hard time keeping the bit tight in my triton router.

Hi uncleglenny

They both will the job but the plunge bit works best the standard bit will you with little cuts...once you start to move it,the bit will dig in and cut it out..

" tight in my triton router " ?????

make sure you are using the right collet or the right shank bit size..

==========
