| Registered User Jr. Member | Bj, OK, sounds like it's old. Of course that's the only info that I have to go on. What's newer? I would be very interested in seeing newer quantitative analysis. Regards, Dan. |

| Registered User Forum Fanatic | Dan, Those are fair questions. The article was from 1999 and many things have changed at Freud since then. For one, we now use a new carbide formulation which we developed that lasts 3X longer than the carbide on the Freud bit in that test. We have also built a brand new router bit manufacturing facility with the most state of the art CNC machines in the industry. Additionally, we have introduced more new innovative router bits than all of our competitors combined. |

| Retired Moderator Supreme Forum King | I can tell you what guys, the customer service I have had from Frued is excellent. They take care of you when there is a problem. I also tell you, their forstener bits are the best I have ever used... you pay a little more for them but they are worth it. I have one clock fitup bit that I have been using for about 15 years and now I use it to drill turnings out. I have a couple others as well that I have had for several years and I have had them resharpened locally once. Corey |
