Bob,, see my "show and tell" box post:

The table saw I'm using is from day one. I don’t even think the blade can be replaced at this point.

But maybe I have a diamond in the rough They certainly don’t make them like this anymore!!!!

For now when ripping I'm limited to clamping an angle iron to the saw. I might plan to one day build some kind of "jig" to sit on top of the table. Or one day just buy a "modern" table...

Hi, Nick

I see what you mean about the table saw you have

You can get a so so table saw for a 100 bucks new or you can pickup one from a pawn shop or garage sale cheap... you can find some for less that 50 bucks..you don't need a 10" one,, 8" will do most of the work just fine...unless you rip 2 x 4 stock at a 45 deg. and most don't.......

Most of the 8" one have a small table top but that's not a big deal, just need to add some stock around the tabletop to get it to a good usable size...
I have a OLD 8" Atlas cast iron table saw and it the best one I have with a 3/4HP motor that hangs on the back side..the saw can cut 28" wide boards and cut them true..
