Default New Forum Organization Idea

Well, I was discussing this with Kevin today and we came up with the idea to sort the forums a bit different. For starters, we want to expand the community to open it up to more users and much more information. Currently the forums are sorted or organised like so:

( The bold titles are categories and others are forums, discluding all sub-forums )
General Woodworking
-- Tools and Woodworking
-- Wood Scrolling
-- General Routing
-- Table-mounted Routing
-- Portable Routing
-- Jigs and Fixtures
Other
-- Off-Topic Discussion
-- Router Glossary
-- Show N' Tell
-- Introductions
-- Tool Swap N' Sell
-- Email Router Tips ( Member's Only )
-- Trash Can
Now, we had the idea to switch a few things around, possibly like so:

( The bold titles are categories and others are forums, discluding all sub-forums )
General Woodworking
-- Tools and Woodworking
-- Wood Scrolling
-- Woodturning and Lathes
-- Jigs and Fixtures
Routers
-- General Routing
-- Table-mounted Routing
-- Portable Routing
-- Router Bits (possible forum, not sure yet)
-- Router Glossary
Other
-- Off-Topic Discussion
-- Show N' Tell
-- Introductions
-- Tool Swap N' Sell
-- Email Router Tips ( Member's Only )
-- Trash Can
Before I go ahead and do this, I would like everyones opinion on this, because the community is for you guys and I want to make sure you guys agree with this idea before I proceed. You can discuss this idea in this thread or the poll thread which I have created. Please either vote, or post your thoughts on this in this thread or the poll thread. Thanks!

Click here to vote in the poll thread!

I'm not a huge fan of change either, but I believe this can benefit RouterForums.com in a positive way.

** Note: The ordering and sorting of the forums isn't final, if you have some input on how you would like them sorted / ordered, please post your thoughts / opinions **

Okay, thats a pretty good idea, keep the sections where they are, just organize them more.... good idea, I agree. Anyone else have some thoughts on this?

Great idea Mike, would you mind writing up a forum title and description?

I think those titles and descriptions will work fine. I am starting on my first "How to" project tomorrow.

IMHO...

This is a "Router" forum (site)...

Anything pertinent to Routers should be at the top and work the way down to more distant subjects.

Mark,

I like Joe's idea of having the router section first and on top. I especially like Mike's idea on a "how to" and plan sharing section (a really fantastic idea). Then last but not least, I think the outline you provided in your original post really looks nice and would work well for all involved. Don't forget the turning forum also as I think it will go over very well when you get a change to set it up. I have a few buddy's already waiting at the front door
