Exclamation Minor Navigation Modifications

Kevin and myself are currently exporting some video tutorials on various Router Workshop related projects and products. These videos are approximently a minute and a half each. The video subjects are:
  1. Raised Panels
  2. Spacer Fence
  3. Router Table & Vacuum Plate
  4. Mitre Gauge
  5. EZ Link
  6. Brass Template Guides
These videos were origionally made for Oak-Park and the Router Workshop and were using on the trade show circut. We recently decided that we might as well put them online for others to view. In order to view these new videso you're required to be a registered user of RouterForums.com and logged in.

Now, I need your feedback because, I need to remove a link from the top navigation. In order to fit the new section "Videos" (open for title ideas) into the top navigation. Please give me your feedback on what link(s) you would like to remove from the top navigation (be replaced by the new video link).

THANKS!!

Also, I was thinking of changing the "User CP" link to "Options". I think some users are getting confused by the whole "User CP" as a title, I think "Options" would be more suiting. What do you guys think?

Currently:
User CP - Articles - Forum Help - FAQ - Members List - Calendar - Store - Quick Links - Log Out

Proposed:
Options - Articles - Help - FAQ - Mbr List - Calendar - Store - Quick Links - Out

Looks like there is about 16 spaces that can be used... for "Videos"??

IMHO...

Editted... look for changes...

Great news!

"Options" sounds much better to me.

My opinions:
either eliminate FAQ and put it in the Forum Help section or eliminate calendar.

Keep up the great work-

Hi Mark

I think you should run a poll 1st. to see how many guest/members can view the videos and what they hook up with 56k/DSL/Cable/etc. as of 09-30-2006.

Many of the 56k user can't or will not use them.
But you will need to open the poll to GUEST , non members, to get a true poll/picture.
Videos are great but most will not wait for them to load...now Quick Time maybe.
Or add them to the item below ▼

Just a side note****
Your best tools for new members are hid more or less, they should be right up front, one of the 1st. items they can read or view.
You did a great job with them why not use them.

RouterForums.com Forum Help -- VIDEO TUTORIALS
http://www.routerforums.com/help.php
http://www.routerforums.com/lobby/30...ighlight=video

In the same GROUP with Introductios or as a 2nd. item under the same.

just my 2 cents.

Bj

Would love to see those videos Mark, Thanks! Most forums do call it the CP or Control Panel but what ever you decide is fine with me!

Thanks Mark

Yep ,I forgot I had it disable (virus magnet thing) I enable it for a bit , and did view 3 or 4 of them.

2 stars out 5 stars, just my 2 cents, it's about the same feed as the woodworking channel maybe a bit slower, and I'm on DSL 640) and many, many drops when viewing.
