There is no work around. You will need to upgrade to XP to use Skype. Since support for ME will be dropped soon by Microsoft this is not a bad idea anyways. You can always skip XP and jump into Vista. Running the newest software for your computer will make it perform better, and that is another good reason.

Problem with that is, an ME machine will not run Vista.. It takes quite a computer to run Vista..
A good upgrade for an ME computer would be Win2000..
