Default Skype

Skype is a fun program. With Skype you can message, voice chat, video chat, file transfer, share a white board for drawing and make phone calls to anywhere in the world. You need a mic and speakers or a boom headset for voice chat. The nice thing is this program is world wide. Ricks audio blog is done using Skype. There is of course the added bonus of not having to read typo's and those words the Canucks, Brits and Aussies spell wrong. (ducking)
Once you install Skype (which is super easy) you are welcome to join us. You are welcome to post your Skype ID or email address here so others can contact you on Skype.

Find me on Skype by using my email address: aniceone2hold@yahoo.com

I would get it, but I'm too lazy. What would I do with this Skype that I can't do with AIM, MSN or YIM?

Well gee Mark, its not like you grace us with your presence that often anyways... To be honest, the reason we are using Skype is because it was Ricks choice. So que up some DaVinci's Notebook on one of your music programs and while listening to it download Skype and join us. We are learning more about routing and each other between the many laughs.

Not being a computer geek, how does MSN Messenger differ from Skype. Can I have conversations with people using Skype?

If I didnt have a mic, could I still join you or are you saying you are just using the voice chat to communicate with?

If you didn't have a mic for your computer you could communicate through chat and if you give your phone number to the host of the skype conference. They would hook you up with your telephone.

What makes it different from Messenger is the conference ability which allows up to 9 buddies the opportunity to chat about woodworking.

curious george, mike, and template tom had one of these conference calls for little over an hour for free.

I wanted to use it to do shoptalk because I can record the conversation and then post it on my blog.

Based on the requirements list, I can't use Skype. I still have Windows ME. Is there a work around?
