| Senior Moderator Supreme Forum King | From time to time simple ideas pop up that make a great deal of sense. I think this one qualifies: We need a section for new members to be able to identify their router quickly and easily. Information about interchange of parts between different models and or brands would be useful as well. Templates of mounting holes in PDF format that can be printed out would make table mounting easier. To keep things simple this section would not be for posting questions... strictly for reference. What does our membership think of this idea?

| Forum Contributer Supreme Forum King | Hi Mark and Mike That one would be a good one BUT I think it should be open So anyone can post a question or add to the data base..with a jpg or PDF file. Like the one below =====

| Marine Engineer Forum King | I like Bob's idea, but I think it should be Moderated to ensure 'quality' posts. If it's to be a true reference section, then OPINIONS should be filtered out. Could also prevent some duplication of data to make it easier to search. There are a lot of folks with a lot of data about their routers, it would be great to capitalize on it!

| Senior Moderator Supreme Forum King | This section would not be closed to posting, but to questions. Questions are best asked in other forum sections. The idea is that this is a Reference with accurate information only. One real example of how useful this can be is decoding Craftsman model numbers so parts can be ordered. Members would be welcome to post parts and service information. Keeping this area organised will require heavy moderation but should be a real boon to members.

Thanks for keeping those references. All, The hole pattern for the FT1700 is not the same as the pattern for the FT2000/FT2200 or the FT3000. I'll post full scale templates for all of them when the new section goes live. | |
